Growing Plants

Blessed Earth are a Christian not-for-profit community interest gardening company based in St Albans, Hertfordshire.

We are passionate about people and plants and are an equal opportunities employer.

Our mission at Blessed Earth is to provide high quality gardening services to the local community. We formed as a Community Interest Company because our founder received a vision from God. It is our aim to cultivate growth and put people and plants before profits.

We develop opportunities for people with unique skills and experience who would otherwise find it difficult to gain employment.

Valued members of our team include adults with learning difficulties.

All About Blessed Earth

We are a Christian not-for-profit community interest gardening company. We formed as a Community Interest Company because of the vision our founder received from God. James' gift of the Spirit is to serve and we therefore believe Blessed Earth's purpose is to serve the community.

We are a team of NPTC fully qualified and insured tree surgeons with years of experience in garden maintenance. We have the experience and skills necessary to tackle every type of tree and always work to the set British standards (3998).

We are passionate about people and plants and it is our aim to cultivate growth and put people and plants before profits. We provide high-quality services for our clients and cater to each project’s specific needs.

We have two core missions; our primary mission is to provide equal employment opportunities to adults with learning and developmental disabilities, valued members of our team include adults with developmental disabilities.

Our secondary mission at Blessed Earth CIC is to supply gardening services to everyone. We aim to do this by; providing a paid for gardening and tree surgery service to domestic and commercial clients and after covering expenses, operational costs and wages, we pool together our profits, as well as donations from the public to fund community projects for people and organisations who wouldn't normally be able to have work carried out due to lack of finances.

Through open communication and exceptional service, we hope you’ll find what you’re looking for with our gardening company.

Herb Garden

Community Interest Company

We are a CIC. Our income is generated from a range of services; garden maintenance, hard and soft landscaping, garden design work, tree surgery and from sales of wood. After expenses, operational and staffing costs our profits are either reinvested back into the company to support our primary mission or are donated into our community project scheme.

We provide work, learning and training opportunities to adults facing barriers to employment due to a learning or developmental disability and to local people who enjoy working in nature.

Our aim is to work with other local non-profit organisations that provide a similar service, Mencap and the National Autistic Society, in order to provide practical work experience and training opportunities. We help people to develop their skills and confidence working as part of our team, we are socially inclusive and welcome people from all backgrounds and levels of experience.

We are regulated by the Community Interest Company Regulator.
